Mr Switch has proudly partnered with Sydney-based designers Amigo and Amigo to create a bespoke light sculpture for this years Vivid Festival. Vivid Sydney is the largest light, music and ideas event in the Southern Hemisphere which will be running through Sydney CBD and Darling Harbour Precinct from 22nd May – 8th Jun 2015.
The talented design duo from Amigo and Amigo, Simone Chua and Renzo B Larriviere, along with LED supplier Onled have created the sculpture, entitled Affinity specifically for the event. The sculpture is dedicated to the Alzheimers Australia Foundation and was inspired by the electrochemical activity of the brain and the effect Alzheimer’s has on our memories.
Our team completed the wiring for the 15 square metre sculpture which is located in First Fleet Park. It features 70 giant balls and 300 metres of lights, making it the largest light sculpture ever displayed at Vivid.
After years of servicing domestic and commercial projects, this was something a little different and exciting for us! We are very proud to support both the Alzheimers Australia Foundation and the Vivid Festival and are excited to share our work over the next two weeks.
